Anyone who knows furniture knows Karim Rashid’s is one of the most influential designers of our time. His designs give futuristic vibes, but although they may be unusual, they are stylish and functional. Due to his imaginative creations, it has won him many awards. Among these recognitions, the most prestigious award in the industrial design world is Archiproducts Design. We are excited to announce that Kosmos sofa, designed for MIDJ by Karim has been awarded at the 2024 Archiproducts Design Awards.
We, on the Michelangelo Designs team, are beyond proud and excited to share this news. This prestigious award is one of the most respected in the design world. It acknowledges and honors creative excellence in product design. This reward is awarded annually, and it focuses on innovation, quality, aesthetics, and functionality. The award ceremony took place last Thursday, November 14, in Milan. Therefore, we are excited to showcase the Kosmos collection, here at Michelangelo Designs.

“I always say that I look at the world as if I were from another planet, and that’s why I would love to have a house on the moon. So for MIDJ I created Kosmos: a floating rock of softness and serenity. Minimal yet comfortable poufs. Growing up in the 60s and 70s everyone was so optimistic about the future, with a lot of experimentation with shapes and technology. Today that vision continues to inspire me to create progressive objects that merge the human touch with the physical world. The modular form of Kosmos creates a sensorial and relaxed environment for everyone.”
